Chris Bailey, over at The Alchemy of Soulful Work, has a fantastic blog that I read and re-read frequently when I need to remind myself to focus on my gut feeling and be soulful in all that I do, not just at work. An obvious enough statement, but I spent a LOT of time at work, and I have to remind myself sometimes to bring my best self home for my wife, and for my friends. Chris does a great job of reminding me of this.
A few recent posts that really hit home with me include:
You get what you give - This post is a great reminder that it's not all about me, it's about everyone else. Brilliant!
Practicing Small Kindess - Chris talks about how Scott Hodge (a mutual friend of Chris and mine) was given a dollar by a person he didn't know, and how it changed his bedtime story for the night for his daughter Elise. Powerful stuff!
Dumping the When...Then Excuse - Another short but beautiful post about taking control of your life RIGHT NOW, something I'm a huge proponent of!
So check out Chris Bailey's The Alchemy of Soulful Work today, and allow him to help you Make It Great!
