GET GOING! 2006 is already 5% over!
We should be taught not to wait for inspiration to start a thing. ACTION always generates inspiration. Inspiration seldom generates action. - Frank Tibolt

Did you realize we are already 18 days into 2006, which means we have 95% of the year left to make it great? So what are you waiting for to get started?
Think about the SMARTER goals you set for 2006. Are you taking the next steps to move towards completing your goal or goals? If not, dig deep, and think about why not?
Was your goal:
Specific - vagueness will KILL your hopes, goals and dreams. Take a few minutes to review your goals.
Measurable - Did you set a goal with a metric? If not, refocus and think about a new metric.
Accountability - Who did you tell, and are you accountable to them? Hopefully you told people that will support you, not tear you down. Maybe now is the time to talk to your spouse, best friend, pastor, or someone else who will help you get to where you want to be! Perhaps it's a what goal. What are you accountable to? If you set a weight goal, and you're not taking the next steps, you are 18 days closer to NOT digging out of your rut.
Realistic - Do you believe in your heart you can reach your goal? If not, think about why you don't think you can reach it? Do you not believe in yourself enough, or did you set too far off of a goal.
Time-frame - What's the time frame for your goal? Is it too close, too vague, or is it just too far away? If you're new to goal setting, start with a short term goal of 1 month or even 1 week, and go through the SMARTER model again after you've reached your goal. Continue resetting goals until you can set BIG goals.
Enthusiastic - Are you EXCITED when you think about achieving your goals? YOU SHOULD BE! If you're not, why are you doing it? Who's setting your goals anyway? YOU ARE, or at least YOU BETTER BE!
Recorded - Where did you write down your goals for 2006? You better put them in your wallet, on your computer monitor, tape it to your mirror, put it on your visor in your car, and when you're stuck in traffic, pull it down and REVIEW IT!
Still need help? Let me know...I would LOVE to help you make it great!
