Want to achieve breakthrough goals?

I often have trouble finishing what I started, or not making the most of what I do. Now and then, I set off on a journey towards a goal, and see some success...for a while. And then, I fade to black and stop doing what made me successful. Perhaps you are familiar with this malady. I call it "failure to finish" syndrome, and it's something I have suffered from all my life.

No longer! I have found something that will help me achieve my breakthrough goals. It's something that can help you achieve your goals! What is this something that can help us?

I call it an "Accountability Circle." What do I mean by this? I mean I tell a few people that I trust that will hold me accountable one of my goals, give them my time frame, and ask them to help me be accountable to achieving this goal. And they share one with me, in fact they share 1 each. This gives us 3 people in our accountability circle, and it works because of it's simplicity. By telling 2 people my goal, I am asking both of them to help me be accountable and achieve my goal, and if I'm not on track, I ask them to challenge me and ask me why I'm not on track. I'm hoping that 1 of them will have the courage to step out and tell me, and would LOVE IT if both of them would. And I hope that at least 50% of the time, I am willing and able to challenge them if they are not achieving their goals. It's almost like a primary, and secondary, though if all parties are in 100% of the time, it does work best.

It's fun to support each other on our journey towards making it great! It's even better when we can hold each other accountable, and achieve the goal together! I challenge you to find 2 people you trust to be in your accountability circle today! If you need help, let me know. I will be happy to be 1 of your accountability partners. I can't be 2 people, so you'll still have to find 1 person, but I am here to help. Plus, I know you can help me!

Make it a great day!

Accountability is one of the main ingredients to success. I am like most people and do much better when there is a system of accountability in place. great article. Thanks.

In my archives, I have a post on Circle Recognition, which gets at the same point of defining where your circle influence lies and within which you can control.

I guess that is why we are together as part of team Synergy!

Thanks to Troy, I found this post. I'd be happy to be a part of any accountability circle that included Phil Gerbyshak. You might be surrounded by many of these circles by now. The mastermind concept from one of the first success and motivation pioneers, Napoleon Hill, is basically just an accountability circle, except it's one on steroids, where your mastermind team lets each person ask the group for their best ideas about accomplishing each others goals, as well as holding them accountable to doing what they say they're going to do. I'm guessing you already have one, but I'd be happy to be on any mastermind team that included Phil too.
