No One Link Stands - How to ask for a date, er link, and stand a chance of getting one

Over at Succesful (and Outstanding) Blog(gers), Liz Strauss wrote a fun, and insightful, article called How to Ask for a Link and Stand a Chance of Getting One. Her first point is the money point for me, when it comes to asking for, or just getting, a link.

Blogging Is Relationships

Yep, it's all about the RELATIONSHIPS. I am a big "relationship geek," I admit it, and if you are nice to me, you'll probably get some link love from me. If you're nice to me, I enjoy your stuff, and your stuff relates to my Make It Great! mantra, you'll probably get added to my blogroll on the side, now 40 some strong.

It's that simple. Liz offers a few more rules, and the title of my post was actually taken from one of the comments she made back to one of the MANY comments she got (34 after my comment). 34 comments means 34 links out. Granted, some are Liz responding to others' comments, but still...for a great blog like Liz, to offer 34 shots at getting some free link love by having open comments, this is an amazing opportunity. And she says if you get to know her and her blog, think about where your link would add value, and when you talk to her, be personal and act nice to me, you might get some link love. Wow, that's not that hard really.

If you REALLY need a link from Liz, just follow the instructions she shared in How to Ask for a Link and Stand a Chance of Getting One, and you'll be full of all the link love you can handle.

Liz: Thanks for providing all the instructions we need to Make it a GREAT day!

Relationship Geeks! How cool is that! Thank you Phil! You made my night and my week, quite frankly. It was a post that seemed to resonate with the folks who stopped by. I'm glad you were one of them.

I appreciate the notice and that you thought it was worth sharing with your readers.

What does a relationship geek wear, anyway?
