Cranky Middle Manager Meets Relationship Geek Guy

Tonight I shared some wonderful Mexican food with one Wayne Turmel, the world's most amazing Cranky Middle Manager.

Not familiar with Wayne? Here's 4 fun shows for you to listen to to get to know Wayne:

And Wayne also wrote A Philistine's Journal: An Average Guy Tackles the Classics, which I now have a copy of (thank you very much Wayne!)

Relationship Geeks love Cranky Middle Managers!

So what did we talk about? Podcasting, blogging, writing, travel, work, life and relationships, of course. Wayne is a really great guy who made me laugh the whole time we spent together. 90 minutes passed VERY quickly, and then off we went, our separate ways . . . for now. Who knows what crazy things we'll do next. I'm a manager, Wayne has a podcast, I've got a podcast, hmmm . . .

Stay tuned!

[Phil Gerbyshak is willing to drive up to 90 minutes in any direction for dinner with a blogger. Plot your course from 777 E Wisconsin Ave 53202 and let me know when you want to get together. Let's make it great together!]

Hey, I'm in St Petersburg, Florida, until May. Realize that it's more than 90 minutes away but it's WARM here. I'll even buy dinner if you are ever in the neighborhood!

Good grief. I almost blush to hear the nice things you said, then I realized you had the same nice things to say about the food- which may call your judgment into question, but I'm just being cranky.

It was great to actually meet you, Phil, and look forward to many more conversations about, well, pretty much everything.

What I admire about your work is your passion for connecting people, your understanding of the blogosphere, your generosity of spirit and that darned perpetual cheeriness which i really admire....even when the little guy in the back of my head says... "how does he stay so chipper,is this guy on crack?????"

I'm trying to keep it great- although most days I settle for making it not-quite-suck.
