Break on Through to the Other Side (of me)
I've been asked by Dawud Miracle to share a different side of me, a "behind the blog" look at who I am when I'm not blogging, and what I do. I am a transparent guy, so I'll play along and share the other side of me.

Originally started by David Airey, the reason for the Face Behind the Blog meme is simple:
"Putting a face to the name of someone you haven’t met helps recognition and adds a more personal feel to your conversations.
What photograph shows you in a light we don’t often see through your blog?"
I am all for humanizing the words you see here with more pictures, and for humanizing conversation more. Interesting...what can I show you that you don't normally see about me here...
Before I show you who I am, I'd like to offer a few links of others who've also shared themselves.

This shot was taken just a few miles from where I grew up. I spent a lot of time playing in the water when I was growing up.
This is my dad and I on the water a few years back. My wife was sitting near me, but didn't want to get too close because we were going FAST!
Grandma Gerbyshak always had a lot of cats on the farm. I got bit a lot, so I'm not a big fan of cats, at least not up close.

Me, my brother Patrick, and my dad, at a Packer game. It wasn't too cold, so we had a great time.

My brother Paul and I celebrated one of his birthdays at a Brewers game. Great fun!

This is a photo of my brothers and my mom and I when I got my college degree. It took me a LONG time to get my degree, because I have a lot of things I like to learn. Can you guess what I got my degree in? Computer Science. Really :)

Last, but definitely not least is a picture of my wonderful wife Kim and I at our housewarming party. We'll be married 5 years in August, and she is an amazing gal. She'd have to be to put up with a guy like me.
So who am I going to tag to share more about the Face Behind Their Blog?
How about Steve Farber, Timothy Johnson, Christine Kane, Kammie Kobyleski, Tim Draayer, Mike Rohde, Lisa Gates, Tammy Lenski and anyone else who wants to play along!
Thanks again to David Airey, the reason for the Face Behind the Blog!

Phil,
You're a star! This is a superb addition to the collection!
You and your wife make a wonderful couple and you look like a great guy to be around.
I'm off to add you to the original list of participants.
Thanks a lot for sharing this insight. I really believe it helps build stronger relationships online.
