Super Heroes and Super Powers: 5 for Friday

Leading off is Penelope Trunk, author of the new (and from what I'm reading amazing) book The Brazen Careerist: The New Rules for Success, with Making Yourself More Likeable at Work. She follows that up with a slightly more focused 10 Ways to Make People Hate You At Work. I added my $.02 on the comment about making people hate you at work, so please don't do any of these things. :) Likeable people at work are true super heroes and folks you want to spend more time with. Unlikeable people at work are like kryptonite and are to be avoided like the plague.
Next up is Chris Brogan, with his insightful Super Powers Must Be Taught. If you're wondering what this is about, Chris sums it up with his last comment: Be a grasshopper. Teach. Share. Grow. That means YOU have super powers. Me too!
Next up is a nifty contest from Joe Hauckes. The Work at Home/Blogging Project, where you can share whatever has worked for you or you think could help people with their home based business and blogging. If you win, you'll get a copy of Lorelle VanFossen's helpful book Blogging Tips, What bloggers won't tell you about blogging. I got a copy of this book at the Successful and Outstanding Blogger Conference I went to a few weeks back, and I'm about 30% of the way through it. Already I've learned some of Lorelle's super powers. If you're new to blogging, you need this book. If you've been blogging a while and want to take it to the next level, you need this book. So why not participate in Joe's contest and see if you can't win a free copy!
Speaking of superheroes, one of my favorite super heroes, Super J (a.k.a. Jason Kotecki) just filmed a very cool film clip about giraffe kissing. Um, J, I think you enjoyed this a little more than the giraffe. HILARIOUS clip!
Last but not least is my management super hero, Rosa Say, and her article about 5 Things Employees Need to Learn-From You. I work on instilling these 5 key things in each of my employees, and I just had an intern start, so I am going to get to work sharing these with him right away, especially #4: How you expect the customer to be treated. VERY important.

Hey Phil,
Thanks for the plug. :-)
There have been some great submissions so far, I've read them all.
The project runs until tomorrow midnight, so there is still time for people to enter. ;-)
Thanks again,
Joe
