It strikes me that the ability to invest interest and time into the staff that you lead is something that one has to grow into and want to do. I also believe that the above applies to being a parent. Which is something that I have been discovering during the past four and a half years with my two sons. Maybe leadership has some parallels with parenting. And one could be a great leader without being a parent.

Great call Ben! I don't think you need to be a parent to be a great leader. I'd bet it helps for parents to be great leaders though. Good thinking, and thanks for sharing!
