I LOVE this message !!

Powerful indeed is a written message
in this time of electronic communication.

5 years ago this month my son entered
the Air Force. More than once during
his time of basic training he would say...
"keep those letters coming"

In the past several weeks my Mom
had been hospitalized. During the
end of her 6 week stay, she was in
a rehab area. Dozens of my online
friends and also family sent her cards.
Repeatedly she would tell me...
"I was the only one on the floor who
had any mail today".
Snail mail was beyond a doubt as good
as the medicine she was receiving.

Thank you Stephen for this guest blog
on Phil's site....

Ummmmm what's your mailing address ???

Snail mail is definitely as good as the medicine doctors prescribes these days. There is something to be said for those who take the time to write a simple note.

I have a stack of thank you cards right next to my desk, ready to go at any time I want to thank someone for something they did for me. It never fails to surprise the receipients. And that always makes my day.

Stephen,

Great post. Thank you for sharing. You really dealt me an "eyeopener" this morning. I've always felt I expressed gratitude towards others rather well; through phone calls, emails, gifts, etc. But, a handwritten note! That would be much more heartfelt (even if my handwriting is sloppy). Thank you again.

Also, thank you Phil for having Stephen as a guest blogger

Eric:

Your feedback on the value of expressing gratitude the good ole way was greatly appreciated! I'm glad it served as an "eye-opener" for you this morning. :)
