Friday Failure Quotes

As 2008 is quickly coming to a conclusion, I thought it'd be nice to reflect on failure.

Failure? Really?

Yep, it's time to learn from failure, and from what 3 people way smarter than me had to say about failure, but that sum up my feelings very succinctly.

"You must accept that you might fail; then, if you do your best and still don't win, at least you can be satisfied that you've tried. If you don't accept failure as a possibility, you don't set high goals, you don't branch out, you don't try - you don't take the risk." - Rosalynn Carter

"In the long run you hit only what you aim at. Therefore, though you should fail immediately, you had better aim at something high." - Henry David Thoreau

"Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly." - Robert F. Kennedy

I'm encouraged by the smartness of these folks on failure. Achieve MORE because you aim higher, and it's okay that you fail. GREAT!

Today, shift your thinking about failure, and think about it as a learning opportunity instead of as something to fear.
