Hanging at SOBCon

Levenger Store

Stephen Hopson, Susan Quandt, Stephen Smith and I started SOBCon yesterday with a trip to the Levenger store in downtown Chicago. Good conferences start by being and thinking productively.

Now that it's Saturday morning, I've listened to Anita Bruzzese and Brian Clark thus far.

The biggest thing I've learned from the presenters and my fellow participants is one big thing:

Honesty and integrity are critical to successful business ventures.

Glad to know I'm headed in the right direction!

Phil
It was great to meet you this weekend. You are definitely started in the right direction.

Honesty and integrity are the best lessons that we can teach our kids and the best way to do that is by example. Now, if someone would just teach our politicians that, our government would be a lot better off. Have a glorious weekend in Chicago.

By the way, hugging you is like hugging a teddy bear! :)

Phil:
It was so GREAT getting to know you better during SOBCon '08. Check out the photos I posted to the group Flickr site -- esp the ones at the orb!

Thanks also for the lend of your memory chip... it's in the mail back to you!!

Chris

Phil,
High Five!! You were more awesome in person even than on your blog. So much energy and joy!!! Your presence was definitely a positive and encouraging one. I felt immediately like I was a friend you already knew.

I'm so glad you seemed to really enjoy SOBCon. Can't wait to do it again.

Hope to chat soon,
Tojosan

It's fun to read comments by people who just met you, and are realizing what's it like to hang out with you in person. You da man, Phil!

I'm jazzed I got to see you again this year; you're one of the main fixtures of SOBCon, in my mind at least.

This is hands down one of the greatest experiences of my life and career. And I get to do it again next year!

We need to together and make something great!

Finally meeting you at Macy's in Chicago after months of corresponding on the Internet was a great way to start the SOBCon08 event. You were everything I imagined you to be! Thanks for all the hugs and support. You are definitely, most definitely one of a kind! I am grateful to have you as a part of my life.
