Sickness and Health

Two Quotes:

“Sickness shows us what we are” - Latin proverb

“It is not good for all our wishes to be filled; through sickness we recognize the value of health; through evil, the value of good; through hunger, the value of food; through exertion, the value of rest.” - Dorothy Canfield Fisher

Two Questions:

What are you?

Do you recognize the value in the paradox?

Note: I’ve been sick, badly sick, the last 2 weeks or so. I thought I had beaten it on Sunday, but by Monday morning, I realized I had not and now am home for the second day, mostly lying in bed and drinking a LOT of fluids. I hope to get back to normal posting regularly. Right now, I barely have the energy to keep up Slacker Manager.

"The beginning is half of every action." - Greek proverb

"Everyone who got where he is had to begin where he was." - Robert Louis Stephenson

What small portion of events are you changing?

Begin and Be Brave: Twofer Tuesday

Two Quotes:

"Everyone who got where he is had to begin where he was." - Robert Louis Stevenson

"Take risks. Take chances. Don't be afraid. You gotta go into life brave." - Billy Joel

Two Questions:

Where are you?

What risks are you willing to take RIGHT NOW to get you closer to where you want to be?

P.S. Goodbye Yankee Stadium! Your history will be missed, but the memories will live on forever! While I never watched a game live there, I watched MANY games there on TV, and I have this DVD, combining two of my passions: baseball and Billy Joel!
